Our concept
ABOUT US – 'La Scarpetta' was born from the dream (perhaps a bit wild) of four Italian friends eager to bring the cuisine and lifestyle of their country to Brussels, but above all, to introduce the many passionate producers in Italy who keep important gastronomic traditions alive, respecting the environment and work ethics.
In our restaurant, you can taste top-quality products, often found only in the most exclusive establishments, such as Sant’Ilario or Casa Graziano's 24 and 30-month-aged prosciutto crudo, Capitelli cooked ham, Grossetti's coppa and pancetta from Val Tidone (...), products from pasta factories Caccese (...), Liguria, Lagano (with which we prepare one of the best carbonaras in Brussels), the small Eggemoa tomes, produced exclusively in Alto Adige/Südtirol from raw milk of brown cows, Tosi's spoonable gorgonzola (...), Mambelli's mascarpone, with which we make our 'tiramisu.'
Our wine cellar also features wines from small, friendly producers, particularly the Col Vetoranz prosecco (...), with which we create the 'spritz.'
To taste these and other products, arriving directly from Italy, one must indeed... pay a visit to 'La Scarpetta.'
